About us

Equal Dreams is a platform for music makers and music friends. Our goal is to build the best possible market place with innovative tools for music where artists and fans can freely participate and collaborate in the music business.
We are in this for simple reasons - we believe in good music. We believe in song writers who create the art. We believe in artists that work their asses of for getting a gig and pouring their souls out on the stage. We believe in hard working record labels who stand behind the scenes and push the artists to their very best. We know that we need music and want to live right in the middle of it.

The Company

Equal Dreams was founded on April 30th 2007 in Espoo, Finland. Equal Dreams conducts its business according to Finnish laws and the principles of social responsibility.

The Team

Kimmo Karkkainen, CEO

Kimmo is a hardworking and optimistic problem solver. His earlier career in computational science and international standardization developed him an analytic mindset. Kimmo has got a couple of guitars at home and sometimes he even plays them to entertain his wife and kids.

Sampsa Ropponen

Sampsa is based in Frankfurt, Germany - mainly taking care of rolling out the service into German speaking Europe. Before joining Equal Dreams he has been involved in a number of internet firms ever since the early days of the industry. Besides marketing and sales he is looking into business development.

Heidi Uddeskog

Heidi is a singer and a songwriter, graduated from Malmö Academy of Music, Sweden. At Equal Dreams, she takes care of artist, label and charity relations and customer service.

Anders Uddeskog

Anders graduated as a drummer from Malmö Academy of Music, Sweden. At Equal Dreams he is working with graphic and user interface design.

Jaakko Kourula

Jaakko graduated as a mathematician from Helsinki University. He is also an avid music hobbyist playing the guitar. In Equal Dreams, Jaakko is part of the software development team.

Juha-Matti Tilli

Juha-Matti works part-time at Equal Dreams. He is a student of electrical engineering in Helsinki University of Technology. Juha-Matti is part of the software development team.

Timo Virtanen

Timo is doing his Master's in International Marketing in Lappeenranta, Finland. In Equal Dreams, he is working with the user interface and is responsible for the layout implementation. He also plays the guitar and the piano.

Lari Pulkkinen

Lari works at Equal Dreams as a software developer along with his studies. During spare time he plays in a band and is interested in professional audio recording. Also, indie music industry is one of Lari's interests.
